Basic FuelTech Tuning Course

This course is your foundation for tuning on the FuelTech platform. We start with the key differences across the FuelTech ECU lineup and walk through proper installation and wiring practices, then move into building a base map, navigating the software, and keeping your firmware current. From there, students learn to configure inputs and outputs, set up basic ignition, and get the engine running, followed by hands-on fuel tuning, closed-loop operation, and ignition timing setup and tuning. We also cover data-logger setup and use, file storage and organization so your tunes and logs stay usable long after class, and a power adder overview to round out your understanding of how different combinations affect the tune. 

The first day is spent in the classroom building that knowledge base. The second day moves onto the dyno, where students see those same principles applied in real time watching how the adjustments they just learned actually change the way the engine responds.

By the end, you'll have a working knowledge of how to build, adjust, and manage a FuelTech tune from the ground up.

Courses are led by our experienced team of instructors, with over 18 years of experiencing in tuning and instruction.

You will need to bring a Windows laptop with the FT-Manager software installed prior to arrival to this course. Instructions and a link to the appropriate software will be sent after payment.
